URGENT...Please read!

We just found out that tonight’s (1/15/14) Board of Supervisors meeting is the last opportunity for public input before the Board sets next year’s tax rate. Their decision has huge implications for our schools and our community as a whole. If they set the tax rate too low, our schools could continue to be underfunded, threatening the quality of public education in Loudoun County.

I know this is short notice, but we need your voice at tonight’s meeting. Here are the details:

Location: Loudoun County Government Building
Address: 1 Harrison Street, Leesburg, VA

Time: Meet at 5:45PM
Note: You must sign up to speak at the meeting by 6:00PM

At the meeting I plan to present the board with over 1,800 signatures we've collected calling on them to stop the "pattern of underfunding our public schools and to invest in a budget that meets the needs of our community, students, and employees in a growing school system."

Together our voices can make a difference.  I hope to see you there with me tonight.

Sincerely,

Joey Mathews, LEA President
