VEA Instruction amd Professional Development Conference

Virginia Education Association Instruction and Professional Development Conference
November 21-22, 2014- Hilton Hotel, Henrico, VA

Classroom teachers, teacher education students, education support professionals, retired educators, policymakers, researchers, and administrators will come together for the Virginia Education Association Instruction and Professional Development Conference, November 21-22, at the Hilton Hotel in Henrico County, Virginia.
 
This day and a half-long conference will allow conferees to engage in discussion of K-12 policy issues and participate in workshops which foster best practices in K-12 curriculum and instruction. Workshop topics include, but are not limited to: student assessment, teacher evaluation, National Board Certification, classroom management, grant-writing, stress reduction, technology integration, universal breakfast programs, writing across the curriculum, and leadership development. Presenters include personnel from the National Education Association, Virginia Education Association, Virginia Department of Education, Greenberg and Associates, Virginia Association for Applied Behavior Analysis, and VEA members from various local affiliates.
Each participant will receive a certificate verifying 8 hours of professional development, which may be presented to the administration of his/her respective school division for consideration toward recertification and/or continuing education credits.
